Follow the Julio Foolio Shooting Trial — FL v. Alicia Andrews

The Florida trial of the woman accused of helping plan the murder of Jacksonville rapper Julio Foolio is now being heard in a Tampa courtroom.

According to prosecutors that she helped track the rapper’s movements while the victim was in Tampa for his birthday. They claim she kept tabs with others who later trapped the rapper in a Holiday Inn parking area.

Multiple shooters allegedly fired dozens of rounds, fatally shooting the rapper and injuring three others.

Andrews is charged with first-degree murder and murder conspiracy.

Prosecutors have presented cell phone data that they say show her role in the planning. This includes deleted texts and photos recovered from her iCloud.

Andrews’ lawyer argues that she didn’t know what the others intended to do. Her team insists she was in Tampa for personal reasons.

This trial is being followed closely by court watchers because the killing is linked to gang tensions.

Current testimony has focused on Julio Foolio courtroom phone evidence, with detectives explaining how they connected messages to the planning.
